ISO/IEC 27036-4 2016 (ISO27036-4 Standard) Cloud security guidelines

Description

ISO/IEC 27036-4:2016 offers Cloud service providers and customers guidance on:

• Information security risks to the use of Cloud services and effectively managing them; and
• Responding to specific risks that relate to the acquisition of Cloud services that can have an impact on the organisations that use them.

ISO 27036-4 is intended to be used to define guidelines supporting the implementation of information security management for the use of Cloud services.

It does not cover business continuity management issues relating to Cloud services, as these are covered by ISO/IEC 27031:2011. Nor does it provide guidance on how Cloud service providers should manage information security, which can be found in ISO/IEC 27002:2013 and ISO/IEC 27017:2015.
