01/09/2015

Omnikron, AXELOS, IT Governance, itSMF and ServiceNow have come together to launch the First Global ITIL Video Contest: www.omnikron.com/itil-global-video-contest

“This contest is a wonderful opportunity to document the creativity and imagination of the world’s IT Service Management professionals. This is like a Global Talent Show with everyone putting their best foot forward for ITIL!” said President of Omnikron Robin Borough, one of the contest’s judges.

Prizes include a trip of the winner’s choice valued at £4,000 ($6,000), copies of the ITIL Lifecycle Publication Suite, a choice of up to three Omnikron ITIL Certification Courses, lifetime membership of itSMF and a range of gadgets.

Peter Hepworth, the CEO of AXELOS, commented: “This competition is all about providing a platform to showcase the success stories of individuals and teams who have successfully implemented ITIL. Not only will it serve as an inspiration to others on how best they can adopt ITIL but also allows us to acknowledge and reward the shining examples of best practice and give the people and teams delivering superior service management the credit they deserve.”

Launching today, 1 September 2015, the contest asks IT service management professionals from around the world to submit short videos showcasing how ITIL has improved their projects or processes. Creative submissions are encouraged; contestants can enter songs, poems, skits or cartoons to describe the effects ITIL has had on their projects.

Alan Calder, the founder and executive chairman of IT Governance, remarked: “This contest is a great injection of fun into the industry. It’s a great opportunity for ITSM professionals to spread the word of ITIL while showcasing their hidden talents – and the prizes are fantastic.”

The videos will be judged on a mixture of creativity, entrants’ passion for ITIL and the number of votes the video receives. Read more here: www.omnikron.com/itil-global-video-contest

Judges include Peter Hepworth from AXELOS, Robin Borough from Omnikron, Alan Calder from IT Governance, Cathy Kirch from itSMF USA and Chris Pope from ServiceNow.
