IT Governance releases new 2016 public training schedule focused on building cyber security careers

17/12/2015

IT Governance Ltd, the leading international cyber security training provider, has announced its official schedule and availability of public training courses in 2016.

The training programme consists of 28 individual classroom and online courses, and is designed to ensure that delegates acquire the knowledge to implement and audit GRC (governance, risk management and compliance) best practice. It also provides the qualifications needed to develop a successful career as an information security, business continuity or IT service management professional.

The IT Governance training portfolio features structured learning paths, with courses at Foundation and Advanced Level in subject areas including ISO 27001, the PCI DSS, the Data Protection Act, ISO 22301, COBIT 5, ITIL and ISO 20000. Each of the individual courses has been developed to deliver specific learning objectives and provide the ‘building blocks’ to support a progressive and integrated education programme. They also support career enhancement by awarding industry-recognised certificates from international exam bodies that include IBITGQ, BCS, APMG and EXIN.

Alan Calder, founder and executive chairman of IT Governance, says “2015 has seen an unprecedented demand for training from IT professionals who wish to meet the challenges posed by the increasing and pervasive risks associated with global cyber crime. These challenges are in turn fuelled by the massive requirement for companies to recruit and retain qualified cyber security managers.”

He continues, “For 2016, our training team has worked hard to present a schedule that significantly increases the availability, access and quality of all courses. Our renowned ISO 27001 Certified ISMS Foundation, Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor courses are now available every month in a classroom format running in London. The same courses are available in our unique Live Online sessions and exams, which can be accessed by anyone in the world with an Internet connection. We have also added additional courses that support the exam preparation for must-have cyber security qualifications, including CISMP, CISA, CISM and CISSP.”

The IT Governance 2016 Training Schedule is available for download or on email request as required. Please note that any IT Governance training course can also be provided as an ‘in-house’ training session offering confidential team training at reduced costs.
