IT Governance ISO 27001 Toolkit Adopted by UK Fire & Rescue Services

24/03/2011

Ely, England, 24 March 2011– IT Governance, the UK leaders in Information Security Management products and services, has announced that its No 3 (Comprehensive) ISO27001 ISMS Toolkit has been adopted by yet another UK Fire and Rescue Service.

Increasingly, UK Fire and Rescue Services are aligning their information security management systems with the best practice set out in the international standard, ISO/IEC 27001. ISO 27001 sets out specific steps that organisations must take in order to list information assets, identify threats, vulnerabilities and risks, and to select appropriate controls to reduce risks to an acceptable level. As well as copies of the information security standards themselves, organisations need two things to help them adopt this best practice: a set of best practice policy and procedural templates, and a risk assessment tool that will automate the entire risk assessment process.

“Our No 3 Toolkit is increasingly seen as the best value solution to requirements within individual Fire & Rescue Services for tools that will help them quickly and effectively adopt best practice,” commented IT Governance CEO, Alan Calder.

IT Governance also provides a comprehensive range of certificated ISO 27001 training courses – including the world-leading ISO27001 ISMS Implementation Masterclass, an ISO27001 Internal Auditor course, and the increasingly popular ISO27001 Lead Auditor course. These training courses all complement and support the tools contained in the No 3 Comprehensive Toolkit.

The IT Governance No 3 ISO27001 Comprehensive ISMS Toolkit can be purchased directly from their website or directly from the friendly, helpful IT Governance service centre team on telephone number +44 (0)845 070 1750. Fire & Rescue Service can also make bookings for training courses or toolkit purchases with a Purchase Order either by telephone or by email to servicecentre@itgovernance.co.uk.
