IT Governance, the leading cyber security services provider and CREST-accredited certification body for the UK Government’s Cyber Essentials scheme, is pleased to award Historic Environment Scotland its Cyber Essentials certificate.
Alan Calder, founder and executive chairman of IT Governance, says, “I am pleased to congratulate
Historic Environment Scotland on successfully meeting the Cyber Essentials requirements and achieving certification. It demonstrates the institution’s proactive approach to information security and data protection – an approach that should be adopted by every business in the UK.”
The
Cyber Essentials scheme has emerged as the default minimum standard for cyber security. The UK Government requires organisations to prove compliance with the scheme in order to bid for most government contracts.
In order to achieve Cyber Essentials certification, companies need to complete a self-assessment questionnaire, signed off by a senior company representative, which is then verified by an external certification body. An external vulnerability scan will also be required if the company has chosen to be certified through a CREST-approved certification body like IT Governance.
IT Governance’s
Cyber Essentials Certification service is designed for organisations that do not require external help for completing the self-assessment questionnaire and is available as a convenient online service helping organisations to save time and money.
The IT Governance Cyber Essentials Certification service can be
booked online.
