COMPLIANCE EXPERTS RECEIVE 98% PASS RATE FOR COBIT COURSE DELEGATES

21/09/2010

Ely, England, 21 September 2010 – In today’s increasingly competitive marketplace, successful organisations are required to understand the benefits of information technology (IT) and should be able to recognize how critical IT is to the effective running of their business processes.   There is also the need to comply with increasing regulatory compliance demands.  To help organisations meet today’s business challenges, ISACA published COBIT®, a set of best practices (framework).

Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT®) is an IT governance control framework that helps organisations in the areas of regulatory compliance, risk management and aligning IT strategy with organisational goals.  In line with this framework, compliance experts, IT Governance Ltd currently run a COBIT 4.1 Foundation Course.

This course is delivered by an experienced ISACA-accredited trainer, and gives an introduction to COBIT. The course enables delegates to earn a COBIT Foundation Certificate and to use the COBIT framework effectively in their workplace.

“Organisations have many questions they might ask when looking to implement such a framework. Some of the common questions are around what IT governance is and what the drivers for it, how it can be measured and the COBIT framework and in particular, this course, allows all of these to be answered”, comments Alan Calder, CEO of IT Governance Ltd.

Completion of the training and successfully passing the classroom exam will earn you an official COBIT Foundation certificate from ISACA as well as 14 CPE credits.

The IT Governance COBIT 4.1 Foundation Course is popular and consistently fully-booked and to date has achieved a 98% pass rate from its delegates.

"Very good style and delivered with bags of enthusiasm. Very good well balanced course," remarks Russell Chopping from Access LLP.

The course trainer is Dr Geoff Harmer who has over 25 years experience in the IT industry and has been awarded Chartered Engineer (CEng), Chartered Information Technology Professional (CITP) and Certified in The Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) status. He is an accredited lecturer for ITIL with the Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB), for COBIT with ISACA and for ISO 20000 with itSMF (IT Service Management Forum). He is also an Associate Lecturer in Technology with the Open University.

The next COBIT 4.1 Foundation Course is on 15th November and places can be booked through the website at http://www.itgovernance.co.uk/products/2295 or be emailing servicecentre@itgovernance.co.uk
